HighLevel vs ClickFunnels

A comparison for marketing agency owners who need to choose software, not a sales pitch.

HighLevel and ClickFunnels both help you publish pages and follow up with leads. They are built for different jobs. HighLevel is sold as an agency platform: client accounts, a CRM, funnels, and email in one subscription. ClickFunnels is sold as a funnel builder that also includes email, automations, and a CRM, with limits on contacts, emails, and workspaces.

What each tool is for

HighLevel

HighLevel’s pricing page describes one platform that includes a CRM and pipelines, a website and funnel builder, email and SMS, booking calendars, workflow automation, forms, payments, courses, and online reputation tools. Phone, SMS, email, and some AI features carry usage charges on top of the plan.

Plans are organized around sub-accounts. A sub-account is the separate workspace you give a client. The pricing FAQ says the Agency Starter plan includes 3 sub-accounts, and the Agency Unlimited and Pro plans include unlimited sub-accounts. The same FAQ says every one of those plans includes unlimited contacts and unlimited users.

ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels’ pricing page leads with sales funnels: a page editor, checkout, landing pages, and A/B testing. The same page also lists email, automations, appointments, analytics, courses, a community, a store, CRM pipelines, and an affiliate center.

Plans do not give you unlimited client accounts. Each plan caps workspaces, team members, contacts, and emails per month. The pricing page lists visitors as unlimited, and it lists unlimited funnels with a “limited time” label, so check that line on the live page before you rely on it.

Who it fits

Choose HighLevel if you want one system for client work: a pipeline, a funnel, and email or text follow-up, with a sub-account per client. Starter is the published fit for a few client accounts (3). Unlimited is the published fit when you will keep adding clients and want to rebill phone and email at cost. Pro is the published fit only if you want SaaS mode: HighLevel’s FAQ describes that as selling subscriptions, creating client accounts automatically, and rebilling usage with a markup.

HighLevel’s pricing FAQ also says you can connect your own domains and white-label the desktop app so clients see your branding.

Choose ClickFunnels if the work is funnels: pages, checkout, and tests. An agency can use the workspaces, but the count is fixed by plan (1, 5, 10, or 20). Read the contact and email caps before you treat it as the system of record for every client.

Prices on the official pages

Figures below are from the public pricing pages on October 4, 2026. They can change. If a number here disagrees with the live page, use the live page.

HighLevel

Monthly prices are the ones named in the HighLevel pricing FAQ. Annual prices are the yearly figures shown on that same pricing page for the matching plan (3 sub-accounts, then unlimited sub-accounts, then SaaS mode). Enterprise is listed without a public fixed price.

Plan Price named on the pricing page What that plan adds
Agency Starter $97/month, or $970/year 3 sub-accounts, unlimited contacts, unlimited users, 24/7 support. 14-day trial offered.
Agency Unlimited $297/month, or $2,970/year Everything in Starter, plus unlimited sub-accounts, rebill phone and email with no markup, basic API access.
Pro $497/month, or $4,970/year Everything in Unlimited, plus SaaS mode, automated sub-account creation, rebill phone and email with markup, user reporting, advanced API access.
Enterprise Custom. No fixed price on the page. The page describes a custom plan for high-volume businesses, including the full feature set of the highest plan.

HighLevel says billing starts when the 14-day trial ends unless you cancel, and usage fees for phone, SMS, email, or other services can apply during the trial. Add-ons (white-label mobile app, HIPAA, extra AI, and others) are priced separately on the pricing page.

ClickFunnels

Plan names and prices below are what ClickFunnels publishes on its pricing page. The first three plans show a monthly price and a lower monthly price when you pay annually. Dominate is listed as annual only.

Plan Price on the pricing page Limits that matter for an agency
Launch $97/month, or $81/month billed annually (save $194/year) 1 workspace, 2 team members, 10,000 contacts, 50,000 emails/month, 5 custom domains
Scale $197/month, or $164/month billed annually (save $394/year) 5 workspaces, 5 team members, 75,000 contacts, 300,000 emails/month, unlimited custom domains, API access
Optimize $297/month, or $248/month billed annually (save $594/year) 10 workspaces, 10 team members, 150,000 contacts, 750,000 emails/month
Dominate $5,997/year, annual only 20 workspaces, 20 team members, 400,000 contacts, 1.2 million emails/month, VIP support, 3 hours of private onboarding

ClickFunnels’ pricing FAQ says there is a 30-day money-back guarantee, and that ClickFunnels does not take a percentage of your sales. This site does not use a ClickFunnels affiliate link. The button further down goes to ClickFunnels’ own pricing page.

Side by side

Question HighLevel ClickFunnels
Built for Agencies that want CRM, funnels, and email or SMS together, plus a sub-account per client. Building sales funnels. Email, automations, courses, and a CRM are included, with plan caps.
Client accounts 3 on Starter. Unlimited on Unlimited and Pro. 1, 5, 10, or 20 workspaces, depending on the plan.
Contacts and users Unlimited contacts and unlimited users on Starter, Unlimited, and Pro, per the pricing FAQ. Contacts capped from 10,000 to 400,000. Team members capped from 2 to 20.
Email Included, with usage-based charges. Unlimited and Pro can rebill those charges to clients. A monthly email allotment from 50,000 to 1.2 million, by plan.
Reselling the software Pro publishes SaaS mode and rebilling with markup. That is a software feature, not a promise that you will earn from it. The pricing page does not list a SaaS mode or client rebilling. It does list an affiliate center inside the product.

Recommendation

Try HighLevel when you want an all-in-one agency platform — CRM, funnels, and email — rather than funnels alone. Use Starter if you have a handful of client accounts. Look at Unlimited if the business is adding client accounts and you want usage rebilling. Open the Pro trial only if you mean to use SaaS mode.

Use ClickFunnels when the job is the funnel itself and the workspace, contact, and email limits on a given plan cover your clients. Paying for Optimize or Dominate does not turn it into an unlimited client CRM; it raises those caps.

Neither subscription replaces a clear offer, a list, or someone to answer leads. Check the current checkout page before you enter a card. Trial and refund rules differ, and HighLevel usage fees can start during the trial.
